The World Series of Poker International Circuit Main Event has a guaranteed prize pool of $2.1 million. The $2,200 buy-in event will run from December 7-17, 2018. The total prize pool of The Star Sydney reaches $4.5 million. In total, 15 tournaments with buy-ins from 400 to 20 thousand dollars will be held within the framework of the event. Three of the fifteen tournaments will have a guaranteed prize pool of $1 million or more. The Star Sydney will kick off with a $600,000 guaranteed tournament. Qualification for the Main Event will take place over 4 days starting on December 7th, with the main event taking three more days. Standing apart in the schedule of the event is the $20,000 High Roller event, which kicks off on December 12th. Tournaments of the WSOP Circuit series have been held since 2005, in 2015 the WSOP International Circuit series was formed, the winners of which can participate in the WSOP Global Casino Championship. The international series includes up to 13 tournaments that take place throughout the year in Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa, the Caribbean and Canada. Four more tournaments are scheduled for the 2018/19 season in Uruguay, Morocco, France and Saint Martin.
