80 gambling sites blocked in Belarus

Information has appeared that eighty Internet resources related to gambling have been blocked on the territory of Belarus to date. These included betting sites and some online casinos. The reason for the closure of gambling sites, according to representatives of the tax service, was the facts of violation of the Belarusian legislation, namely, the inappropriate execution of documents for the provision of services in their field of activity. Recall that land-based gambling in this country has been legalized since 2019, the online sphere had to complete the receipt of all necessary permits by April 2021. Operators who did not do this should have been, and were blocked. Now they are not available to users. It should be noted that over the past 2020, the gambling industry in Belarus showed a record level of income, amounting to more than 77 million rubles. Recall that at the beginning of this month, gambling provider Playson announced the placement of its content on the Belarusian Internet aggregator SoftSwiss. The companies announced a signed cooperation agreement.
