Another attempt to legalize betting in the US state of Maine

Gambling News and Lucky Stories

This is not the first time that the authorities of the US state of Maine are considering a bill to legalize betting. It became known that at the end of the first decade of June of the current 2021, the Senate voted for the relevant bill on rates. Let us note the fact that earlier, in 2019, a forbidding veto was imposed on the adopted law by the governor of the state. At the beginning of April 2021, another attempt was made to resolve this issue, but it also failed. The new, revised document talks about the legalization of online and offline betting, and specifies those organizations that will be able to accept sports bets. The price for a license for a period of two years is also indicated – it amounted to one hundred thousand US dollars, which is eighty thousand more than in the previous version of the bill. My Lucky Story previously informed its readers that since the beginning of June 2021, the authorities in New York have “frozen” plans to build new gambling houses in the metropolis. It also became known that the resumption of work of land-based casinos in the United States of America showed a shortage of personnel and became the reason for active recruitment of personnel.
