During the period of restrictions due to the pandemic, many industries in Armenia suffered quite large losses. But the gambling houses of the country lost only twenty percent of their profits. The income of bookmakers and online gambling decreased by five percent. For comparison, the media drew a parallel with other entertainment and leisure facilities – museums and cinemas, exhibition and concert venues, as well as cultural facilities – missed about 60 percent of revenue. We remind you that a few years ago, while adjusting the laws related to gambling, the Armenian authorities decided to switch to a new taxation system for the gambling business.
