Bookmaker Betano started proceedings with the Portuguese League of Professional Football due to breach of agreements

Gambling News and Lucky Stories

The bookmaker Betano filed a lawsuit against the Portuguese League of Professional Football due to the fact that it was denied sponsorship of the Primeira Liga. Earlier, as My Lucky Story wrote, a sponsorship contract was signed with the betting company Bet(dot)pt, a subsidiary of the gambling operator bwin, which undertook to support the Portuguese Premier League, which was called Liga Bwin, for five years. BC Betano decided to challenge this deal, motivating the lawsuit by the fact that, firstly, the Portuguese League of Professional Football agreed on a four-year sponsorship agreement (worth more than 20 million euros) from Betano. Secondly, the league unilaterally violated the agreements reached, Betano stated. Thirdly, Betano, according to its representatives, has already developed marketing campaigns and activities as a sponsor of Primeira Liga. As My Lucky Story reported, California residents, who initiated legal proceedings with Facebook, accused this American company of active and illegal gambling activities. Recall that the King’s Casino (Czech Republic) is ready to sue Facebook because of the illegal use of the gambling house brand by cybercriminals in this social network.
