The UK Gambling Regulator has reported an increase in online gambling activity during the COVID-19 pandemic. The authorities of Foggy Albion substantiated this with the data of Internet operators for March-December 2020, when security measures against coronavirus were introduced in the country. During this period, in particular, the number of active accounts (to almost three million in total) and rates (to almost six billion in total) increased monthly. Earlier it became known that bookmakers in England will continue their activities in April, and gambling establishments – in May.
