Casinos in Manila closed until at least April 4

In the capital of the Philippines, all gambling establishments have stopped working since March 29. In accordance with the new order of the President of the country, Rodrigo Duterte, quarantine restrictions have again been strengthened in Manila and a number of adjacent provinces. The country’s authorities are trying to reduce the consequences of a new wave of the spread of coronavirus infection. Under stricter rules that came into effect on Monday, all mass gatherings are banned and a nighttime curfew is imposed from 6 to 5 am. All non-essential businesses ceased operations until April 4. But this period can be extended if the situation with the increase in the incidence does not stop. Earlier, President Rodrigo Duterte announced the possible termination of the contract with Landing International for the construction of a gambling and entertainment resort in Paranaca.
