The William Hill bookmaker lost a lot of money due to restrictions imposed in the UK due to the spread of the coronavirus. The company’s profit in 2020 was only nine million pounds, while in 2019 this figure was at the level of 96 million. Representatives of the bookmaker do not hang their noses and believe that last year they ensured the safety of their employees and customers, did everything possible for William Hill, including improving the work of the office. As reported, the UK authorities plan to provide financial assistance to bookmakers. Earlier it became known about plans for a post-COVID opening of a betting shop in England in April. Recall that during the COVID-19 pandemic, the activity of online gambling participants in the UK increased.
