David Peters defends title at Seminole Hard Rock Open

Poker Masters 2018 Main Event winner David Peters defended his title in one of the tournaments of the Seminole Hard Rock ‘N Roll Poker Open (RRPO) poker series. The American won the $5,000 buy-in event for the second year in a row.

David Peters was the best among 95 players registered in the event, his winnings amounted to 143 thousand dollars. For the same achievement last year, the poker player received 104 thousand dollars. The total prize fund of the tournament amounted to 451 thousand dollars, which was almost twice the declared guarantee. In heads-up, the American defeated the Frenchman Guillaume Diaz. Commenting on his victory, Peters noted that he defended the title in the same T-shirt as a year ago: This is crazy! There was a cool tournament, and I was in the same T-shirt. At first everything went well, then I lost a lot of chips, but I continued to fight, and everything worked out! David Peters is one of the most successful American poker players. Only in 2018 he became the winner of major events in the Triton Poker Super High Roller Series, US Poker Open, Aria High Roller 78 and Poker Masters. During his professional career, he has earned more than $29 million. The American claims to be the best player of the year according to the Global Poker Index (GPI).
