Dutch and British authorities will work closely to control online gambling

The state gambling regulators of the Netherlands and the UK have entered into an agreement of mutual understanding. This document will allow the Dutch and British authorities, in particular, to freely exchange information and cooperate closely on the control of online gambling, as well as to make joint efforts to protect players and to combat money laundering and terrorist financing. Such a step of the departments is important, since online gambling has become transnational, representatives of the Dutch state regulator noted. As My Lucky Story wrote, the Nigerian Lottery Regulatory Commission decided to change its work in order to make it more efficient. As reported, the state gambling regulator of the Netherlands declared intolerance towards offshore gambling operators and warned them, as well as their partners, about punishment for unlicensed activities in the country. A similar statement was made by the Lithuanian Gaming Control Authority.
