Maltese gambling company Esports Entertainment Group has completed the acquisition of Bethard, a betting company co-owned by Swedish footballer Zlatan Ibrahimovic, according to My Lucky Story. This purchase of Esports Entertainment Group is valued at $27 million. The Bethard bookmaker will perfectly complement the company’s assets and significantly increase its income and presence in regulated markets, representatives of the Esports Entertainment Group noted. They clarified that as a result of the deal, Esports Entertainment Group got two new gambling licenses, which the betting operator Bethard received in Spain and Sweden, and together with them the company will already have six gambling licenses in different countries of the world. This deal, as previously reported, became known in the spring of 2021.
