This surge did not come as a surprise, earlier experts have repeatedly announced increased excitement among bettors associated with the holding of the Euro. Analysts claimed that the postponed main football tournament in Europe would be richer in bets than the World Cup 2018. According to the bookmakers themselves, the beginning of the summer of this year showed an increase in profits compared to last year, almost three times and 36.5 percent more than in 2019 – when quarantine restrictions were not yet introduced. Betting operators continue to count on income growth, but are also ready for new downturns in case of repeated anti-COVID measures. Recall that in the second decade of June, Russian bookmakers have already begun to feel a significant increase in customers and demand for sports betting.
