Operators Spaceics LLC and Gamedev LLC transferred UAH 46.8 million to the budget of Ukraine as payment for online casino licenses. Each of the licensees replenished the Ukrainian treasury by 23.4 million. The State Treasury Service of Ukraine confirmed the information about the receipt of funds. According to the representative of the Financial Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Daniil Hetmantsev, in 2021 the legalized gambling business can bring more than UAH 7.5 billion to the country’s budget. The authorities intend to use the income from the gambling business, among other things, to finance the social sphere. For these purposes, a special fund will be created, the funds from which will be directed to projects in the field of medicine, education, sports, science and culture. Recall that in parallel with the licensing of gambling operators, the Commission for the Regulation of the Gambling Business of Ukraine actively issues permits for the opening of land-based casinos and slot machine halls to Ukrainian hotels and inns. Starting from February, several hotel complexes in Kyiv, Odessa, Lvov, Vinnitsa and Rovno received licenses to organize gambling establishments.
