According to the Minister of Taxes and Dues of the Republic of Belarus, in the past 2020, licenses were issued to three legal entities – three virtual gambling establishments, but only one of them, Parimatch, carries out actual activities today. Parimatch became the first bookmaker to obtain a license to operate an online casino in Belarus – since February 2020, they have started working and invested one million dollars in their project. According to official data, more than a third – 34% of the total profit from the entire gambling industry of the republic is the income from online gambling. Especially during the quarantine period, when the actual visits to bookmakers and gambling zones are strictly limited, the audience of online casinos is growing steadily. It was in connection with the innovations and development of the gambling industry that the President of Belarus back in 2019 signed a law on the full legalization of virtual gambling sites.
