The Ministry of Taxes and Duties of Belarus reminded gambling operators of the changes that come into force on April 1, 2021. The ministry’s message says that legal entities carrying out their gambling activities on the Internet must place a license on the main page of their websites. The documents must indicate the name of the legal entity, the type of activity and the name of the site. These requirements apply to all business entities, both domestic and foreign. For violation of these requirements, the operator faces administrative liability, license revocation or criminal punishment. From April 1, all online gambling entities who have not managed to make changes to the main pages of the portals must block their work until the violations are eliminated. As previously reported, in 2020 the Belarusian gambling regulator issued three licenses for online casinos.
