Igli Tarei sports director of the Italian “Lazio” is suspected of involvement in betting activities

Gambling News and Lucky Stories

The Italian media report that their investigation gives grounds to suspect one of the leaders of the Lazio football club, the sports director of the team, Igli Tarei, of being a co-owner (through third parties) of one of the Albanian betting companies.

It should be noted that the bookmaker “Top Bast”, which the Italian media are talking about, owns approximately four hundred bookmaker points in Albania. Mr. Igli Tarei himself completely denies the accusations and declares his non-involvement in these events and organizations. To date, it is known about his intentions to sue the RAI3 TV channel, which aired this investigation. Recall that at the end of May 2021, the star of the Milan football club Zlatan Ibrahimovic was accused and fined 50 thousand euros for involvement in betting activities. Another high-profile football name fell under the shadow of distrust – the coach of the Juventus football club, Massimiliano Allegri, was suspected of money laundering through gambling operators.
