According to the official resource of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, the previously opened case of a match-fixing between the football clubs “Chaika” and “Chernomorets” was taken to court. For Russia, this has become a precedent.

Recall that the match in question itself took place back in 2019 with a 3-1 result in favor of Chaika – then one of the representatives of the Chaika management, now a former employee, agreed with the manager of the Chernomorets club about their loss. Half a million Russian rubles were offered as motivation. Among the defendants in the case are six players from the Novorossiysk club and their former coach. The defendants are charged with Article 184 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. Earlier, My Lucky Story published information that regulatory authorities found violations of the rules in several matches involving the Rostov football club Chaika. And in early May of this year, the proposal on responsibility for fixed matches was approved by the government of the Russian Federation.
