Kansas has legalized sports betting – the Senate of this state in the Midwest of the United States passed the corresponding law. The document has been sent to the House of Representatives for subsequent approval. According to the decision, residents of this region who have reached the age of 21 can participate in betting. Land-based and online bets are being introduced, and casinos operating in the state will be able to accept them through regular points and sites. The right to work with rates is also given to sports facilities and Indian tribes. Operators must pay taxes: 5.5% and 8% percent of the income received from land-based and Internet betting shops, respectively. Betting will start operating in Kansas next year. The regulation of this activity is entrusted to the Kansas Lottery, controlled by the state government. As reported, the finalized draft law on sports betting in Kansas was presented to the state legislature in January this year. The legalization of betting in Kansas, we recall, began in 2018. And three years earlier, fantasy sports were legalized in that state.
