Gambling News and Lucky Stories

In Latvia, land-based gambling establishments, including casinos, may fall under prohibition. It became known that the bill banning the sale of alcoholic beverages in gambling houses is already at the stage of approval by the parliamentary commission. It should be noted that according to the statement of the head of the legal commission of the Latvian parliament, Juris Jurass, such amendments were created to protect the players. Experts believe that drinking alcohol pushes gambling casino guests to rash steps. The document provides for an absolute cessation of the sale of alcohol in casinos, slot machine halls, and so on. The previous step taken by the Latvian Saeima in protecting the vulnerable part of the population was the decision to place gambling establishments in hotels with at least four-star status. The My Lucky Story publication previously published information that Ukrainian hoteliers are massively applying for a higher status of their establishments – as four stars will allow them to open a legal casino, betting shop or slot machine halls on the territory of the facility. And the Ukrainian authorities said that the list of requirements for obtaining a gambling license has already been fully approved.
