The National Lottery of the Republic of Moldova requires major banks in the country to block operations with online casino accounts that do not have national licenses, as illegal. It is noted that the lottery monopoly sent letters to the management of two large banks in Moldova demanding to comply with the legislation to combat the gray market of gambling. In particular, the regulator insists on blocking payments to the accounts of unauthorized online gambling operators so that such gaming platforms cannot conduct transactions.
