Nagasaki casino bid winner to contribute more than 35 billion yen to budget before construction begins

According to Norihiro Miyamoto, a member of the prefectural general council, the winning operator who received a permit to build a casino in Nagasaki will be required to make a number of payments to the local budget even before construction begins. In particular, 168 million yen (1.5 million US dollars) will be compensated for the administration of the competition, preparation and approval of permits. The operator is also required to pay 20.5 billion yen to purchase a 31-hectare resort site in Huis Ten Bosch and make a contribution of 14.7 billion yen to improve local transportation infrastructure.
