According to the National Gambling Society of Peru, the metropolitan gambling establishments resumed their work on March 15. The authorities of Lima have decided to ease the quarantine measures at the local level, contrary to the requirements imposed by the national authorities. In particular, it is reported that 390 gambling establishments have opened in Lima – casinos and slot machine halls, a number of trade and catering enterprises, and sports facilities. At the same time, the occupancy of gambling premises should not exceed 20% of the capacity, employees and customers must strictly observe sanitary and preventive standards. However, it is worth noting that from March 16, the Government of Peru cancels the mandatory quarantine for foreign tourists. To enter the country, foreign guests must provide a certificate with a negative test result for coronavirus, made no earlier than 72 hours before departure.
