Well-known American poker player Phil Galfond announced the launch of the Run It Once Poker (RIO Poker) poker room. The new site was officially launched on February 6, 2019. Currently only No Limit Hold’em and Pot Limit Omaha 6Max cash games are available to players, all settled in Euros. The creator of the site emphasizes that the current version is an open beta version.

The poker room RIO Poker has licenses from Malta and the UK. Citizens of some European countries, residents of Canada, Mexico and countries of South America have official access to the resource. Russian players can register for Run It Once if they have access to international pools at PokerStars, 888poker and partypoker. It is planned to use the payment systems Visa and MasterCard, Neteller, Skrill and others on the resource. Phil Galfond, the main ideologist of the poker room, does not rule out adding the possibility of paying with cryptocurrency in the future. The developers plan to launch tournament competitions and games in the Sit&Go format. Further expansion of the functionality is also expected, the release of the RIO Poker mobile application for Android and iOS. For the first time, Phil Galfond announced the creation of his own poker room in 2016. It was planned that the resource will be launched in 2017. Since then, the release of the site has been constantly delayed. Closed beta testing was held in 2018, at the same time Galfond began inviting players to conduct test games for money.
