Poker-room PokerStars announced the winter series of tournaments

PokerStars, the largest poker site in the world, has announced a winter series of online tournaments with a total guaranteed prize pool of $40 million. A total of 240 events with different buy-in levels will be held within the tournament. The competition will take place from December 23, 2018 to January 7, 2019. In the same period, an additional $45 million will be raffled off on the site.

In order to attract the maximum number of players to participate in the event, PokerStars has divided the program into four groups of events according to the total level of buy-ins, the cost of entry to the Main Event and the Main Event guarantee: Micro buy-ins up to $5.5, entry to the Main Event – 2 .2 dollars, guarantee – 100 thousand dollars; Low – up to $55, entry to the Main Event – $22, guarantee – $750,000; Medium – up to $530, entry to the Main Event – $215, guarantee – $1.5 million; High – up to $5,200, Main Event entry $2,100, $1.5 million guaranteed. There will be 60 tournaments in each block, and the minimum buy-in will be only 55 cents. The four Main Events will take place on the same day on January 6th. PokerStars will feature traditional $2.50 and $20 Spin&Go games on tournament days to win tickets to the Winter Series Main Event. The Winter Series online tournaments were first held at PokerStars a year ago. Then 152 events of the event attracted more than 203 thousand players, and payments exceeded $38 million.
