The turnover of official bookmakers in Poland in 2020 crossed the mark of two billion euros, in national currency the amount amounted to 7.2 billion zlotys, Graj Legalnie, the gambling association of Poland, reported in its report. According to Graj Legalnie, 19 licensed betting companies operating as offline and online operators are registered in Poland in 2020. Bets on sports events accepted by bookmakers last year brought PLN 800 million to the country’s budget. The two market leaders are clearly defined among the bookmakers – STS with a share of over 46% with a growth of one percent compared to 2019 and Fortuna Entertainment with 28%, which is three percent less than last year. President and owner of STS – Mateusz Juroszek emphasized – “we are strengthening our position not only as a clear industry leader in terms of market share, but also as the most technologically advanced and innovative bookmaker in the country.” We remind you that in 2018, according to Graj Legalnie, the number of illegal bookmakers exceeded 60% of the gambling market in the country.
