Polish casinos and slot machine halls reopen

Gambling News and Lucky Stories

The end of May of this year brought an easing of anti-COVID restrictions on the Polish gambling market. On the 28th, land-based casinos and halls with slot machines returned to work. This was reported by the local media.

It is also known that the activities of these gambling establishments will be carried out in compliance with all necessary protective measures, such as wearing a mask regime and maintaining social distance in the premises. The list of those who returned to work also included catering facilities – restaurants and cafes located on the premises and gyms – exercise equipment, swimming pools and the like. Such a trial “weakened” mode will last until June 5 of the current 2021. Further, the authorities will make appropriate decisions based on the results obtained. Recall that in March 2021, the Polish authorities adopted several amendments to simplify the work of legal gambling operators. We also note that the turnover of official Polish bookmakers in the past 2020 crossed the mark of two billion euros, which is equal to 7.2 billion in zlotys.
