It became known that the popular video service Youtube decided to limit the display of gambling advertising, including betting companies. From now on, ad blocks about sports betting will not be shown in the header of the resource. Restrictions have been introduced not only on the promotion of betting – this is only part of the list of bans that have appeared. The list included prescription drugs and alcoholic beverages, political campaigning, and gambling advertising itself. Note that advertising placed at the top of the site has always been and is the most popular and, of course, the most expensive on the resource. From June 21 of this year, land-based and online gambling ads will be removed from the header. Recall that in the spring of this year – in the month of April, representatives of the Irish youth “Macra na Feirme” opposed the advertising of gambling. In the UK, they are also fighting against overly active advertising of gambling, at the same time, experts, using the example of one of the football matches, calculated the amount of advertising for a bookmaker – the figures are disappointing for those who fight against gambling addiction.
