Record revenues of Belarus from the gambling industry – more than 77 million rubles

Belarus calculates the profit received from the activities of legal gambling operators. According to official data, the budget of the republic received a record 77.2 million rubles. Of these, 37.6 million are tax deductions for the winnings of individuals and 39.6 million from the income of legal operators. The data of the report of the Ministry of Taxes of Belarus – the Ministry of Taxes and Duties, allow us to call the past 2020 a successful year. Although out of 117 licensed gambling companies, only 103 organizations submitted reports to the tax authorities. It should be noted that in 2020, 102 bookmakers, 195 slot machine halls and slot machines, as well as 26 casinos officially functioned on the territory of the republic. During the reporting period, active certification of gambling equipment took place. Another source of income was the mandatory tax on foreign providers for gambling and digital services. He replenished the treasury of Belarus in the amount of about 47 million rubles.
