In the middle of this week, at a meeting of the Federation Council, the deputies approved and adopted in the final reading a bill on extrajudicial blocking of resources and sites related to or related to illegal gambling in Russia.Recall that according to the bill of the Federal Tax Service – the Federal Tax Service of Russia will receive the authority to block suspicious sites without a court decision. The document contains a detailed list of those who are prohibited from making transactions. The Tax Service will monitor and send data on violations to the Central Bank of the Russian Federation – the “Bank of Russia” for further investigation and decisions. The approved and adopted document will be sent to the signature of the Head of State – Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. Recall that the State Duma of Russia adopted a law on extrajudicial blocking of websites in the third final reading on June 15, 2021. The authors of the document were deputies Alexander Khinshtein and Sergey Zhigarev. Another important decision was made by the authorities of the Russian Federation at the end of May 2021 – a bill on changes in the postponement of the start of the work of ERAI – the Unified Gambling Regulator in Russia.
