Russians began to place bets more often in betting companies

The results of another social study from the “Rating of Bookmakers” have appeared on how often Russians began to place bets in the current 2021. The materials published on the portal resource show a significant increase. Thus, the number of those who used the services of bookmakers once a year has grown by almost twenty percent, and those who are actively involved in betting (makes bets at least once a week) have increased by 35 percent. Experts say that this dynamics is explained by the impact of the pandemic and the quarantine restrictions imposed because of it. Due to the fact that many sporting events were canceled or postponed in 2019, there was a decline in interest in betting, and after the return of big sport, active bettors also returned. It was also pointed out to the fluctuations in the average size of bets that Russians made in the period from 2019 to the current 2021. Now its average is one thousand rubles. But there are also big players – My Lucky Story reported on several million winnings that Russian residents received by placing a bet in betting companies – a resident of St. replenished its budget by 2,145,700 rubles.
