Russian journalists took part in a poker tournament at the Sochi Casino as part of a press tour to the Krasnaya Polyana gambling zone. Andrey Nimchenko, Editor-in-Chief of the Kommersant-Kuban newspaper, won by the number of points in the three rounds of the event. He became the owner of a cup, a cash prize and the exclusive right to hold a party for guests of the Casino Sochi. The second place in the top three was taken by STAFFROOM editor Vitaly Safronov, who also represented My Lucky Story in the press tour. The winner Andrey Nimchenko admitted that he was new to poker and experienced conflicting emotions during the game: I was very worried at the table, there was no question of any “poker face” – a stone face. It seemed to me that the combination on the hands on my face is reflected until the last card. It was fun, in a few tournament hours I managed not only to play with pleasure, but also to get excited and laugh. As part of the press tour, representatives of ITAR-TASS, VGTRK, RIA Novosti, Sports.ru, Arguments and Facts and other Russian media visited the new Boomerang casino at the Rosa Khutor resort and were able to talk with top managers of Domain ”, which is the operator of gambling zone establishments. Dmitry Anfinogenov, Development Director of Krasnaya Polyana Gambling Zone, Marek Stankevich, General Manager of Boomerang Casino, and Artur Voskanyan, Sochi Poker Project Manager, took part in the big press conference. World Poker Tour President Adam Pliska was a special guest at the event. The Krasnaya Polyana gambling zone was established on August 10, 2016, and is currently represented by three establishments: the Sochi Casino, the Bonus slot machine hall and the new Boomerang casino. For two years, over 850,000 people from 146 countries of the world visited the gambling zone.
