Sports betting in South Dakota will be possible from September this year. Such a forecast appeared among representatives of the gambling industry of the state. Sports betting was legalized in South Dakota following a vote by state residents in November 2020. In March of this year, the state legislature and executive authorities adopted and approved the relevant law. It remains only to develop and introduce betting rules, which will be done by the South Dakota Gambling Commission. By law, sports betting will be accepted at the Deadwood Casino. Bettors will be able to bet in land-based points or through a mobile application inside gambling establishments. As reported, in the state of Alabama, due to the position of legislators, gambling remains illegal.
