The Swedish gambling regulator has supported the introduction by the government of the country of a new fine for violations of marketing laws related to the activities of gambling operators. Officials want to penalize gambling companies for violating good marketing practices that significantly affect or are likely to affect an individual’s ability to make an informed decision about dealing with the companies. The maximum amount of the fine is proposed to be set at the level of four percent of the annual turnover of the gambling operator. As My Lucky Story reported, the Norwegian authorities introduced new gambling legislation, which secured the monopoly of state operators on gambling. Earlier it became known that betting companies launched a website in Sweden, with the help of which they want to give the inhabitants of the country more knowledge about the gambling industry. Recall that the Swedish police stated that gambling is that part of the business in which there are the highest risks of financing terrorism and money laundering.
