The All-Ukrainian Council of Churches called the draft law on reducing taxes on gambling “cynical lobbying”

Representatives of religious organizations in Ukraine sharply condemned the bill aimed at reducing taxes on gambling. In its appeal, the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches called this bill “cynical lobbying by gambling business owners” and called on parliamentarians to veto the bill. According to the clerics, it was high taxation that kept the population from the harmful effects of gambling and the spread of gambling in the country. Earlier, the regulator of the gambling industry of Ukraine refused to issue a permit for placing a casino in the Kharkiv Palace hotel.
