The government of Kyrgyzstan will send to the country’s legislature its additions to the bill on the establishment of a casino in Issyk-Kul, “generally supporting the bill.” This was stated by the representative of the Cabinet of Ministers Almazbek Abytov. The gambling zone is intended for foreign citizens. It will be built near the Tamchy airport. It is planned that 40% of the profit from the future casino will be received by the budget of Kyrgyzstan, 60% – by the project investors. The bill establishes the minimum age of casino employees – 23 years. As My Lucky Story previously reported, a bill to create a gambling zone with a casino in the Issyk-Kul region has been discussed in Kyrgyzstan since April 2021. Its authors focus on the prospects for expanding the local labor market in connection with the new facility. We add that the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan initiated amendments to the legislation on gambling. The parliamentarians proposed to create a casino for foreigners near the Manas airport. In addition, the Deputies of Kyrgyzstan in January 2021 proposed to discuss amendments to the law on gambling. It is noted that the ban on the gambling industry had a negative impact on the replenishment of the budget and employment of the country’s citizens. Earlier, the government of Kyrgyzstan announced plans to completely ban online advertising or limit it for casinos and bookmakers.
