The main sponsor of this event will be the largest poker room PokerStars.During the Global Poker Awards ceremony, the organizers will celebrate the most significant achievements of the past year that relate to the poker industry. The ceremony will be hosted by Poker Central and Global Poker Index. Additionally, in 2019 the Global Poker Index has decided to retire the American Poker Awards and the European Poker Awards, GPI President Eric Danis said: Global Poker Awards. The event will reward not only players, but also industry leaders. At the last ceremony – American Poker Awards – podcasts, streamers and bloggers received their awards, namely all those who covered the most epic poker events. Whether they will be marked in 2019 is still unknown. Also, the organizers of the event have not announced the list of nominations for the upcoming ceremony.
