The Danish government has announced the merger of two state-owned lottery operators, Danske Spil and Danske Klasselotteri, to save money on the operations of these companies, enable their digital transformation, promote responsible gambling commitments and manage them effectively. The Danish Ministry of Finance is working with these operators to prepare the merger, preparing the legal structure and business model for the combined company. The merger of Danske Spil and Danske Klasselotteri could be completed by the end of 2021 if all necessary approvals are obtained. Earlier it became known about the contract signed by Danske Spil and the manufacturer of slot machines Yggdrasil Gaming.
