The draft law on changes in the term of targeted deductions from gambling was adopted by the State Duma of the Russian Federation

At the parliamentary meeting held on May 26 this year, the State Duma of the Russian Federation, in the third final reading, adopted a bill to postpone the start of the ERAI and, accordingly, the calculation of target mandatory deductions from gambling in Russia. Recall that the author of the adopted document is United Russia Mr. Stankevich. According to ERAI, the Unified Gambling Regulator is authorized to distribute mandatory contributions from sweepstakes and betting organizations aimed at developing sports in the country. Earlier, at the beginning of February 2021, a law on requirements for the regulator was adopted. The launch of ERAI is scheduled for October 1 this year. Under the new terms, the deduction deadlines are shifted by six months, as all legal regulations will come into force on March 1, 2022. Recall the draft law The Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation prepared the constituent documents for ERAI – the Unified Gambling Regulator back in February 2021. For your information, the amount received in the form of targeted deductions from bookmakers in Russia amounted to 1.85 billion rubles, according to the data for the first quarter of 2021.
