The state gambling regulator of Malta has terminated the license for games in the B2C format, previously issued to the operator Smart Operations. The reason for this sanction is that the company violated national gambling laws, the Malta Gaming Authority said. The department explained that the Smart Operations operator did not fulfill its financial obligations. The license has been canceled since April 2021. Smart Operations is prohibited from conducting gaming operations, registering new customers and accepting deposits from them. The company that was engaged in casino and online betting must make a full settlement with existing customers.
