The National Payments Association has proposed more drastic measures to block transfers to shadow gambling

News has appeared in the Russian media that the National Payments Association (NPA) has proposed to the authorities more drastic measures to block transfers to shadow gambling by tracking and using a bank identification number – BIN or MCC.

These codes, with the appropriate marking, accurately indicate what the transfer or transaction was made for. It should be noted that the code for representatives of the gambling business officially working in the Russian Federation, the encoding is indicated by the following code – 7995. In the NPA initiative, it was proposed to track transfers using “other” encodings made in acquiring banks that make foreign transfers. This will allow you to solve problems much more radically. Note that at the moment in Russia this month the State Duma of Russia adopted a law on extrajudicial blocking of sites in the third final reading. As part of the fight against illegal gambling, the Central Bank of the Russian Federation annulled the license of RFI-Bank for online casino money transfers. And this case is no longer an isolated one.
