An investor company from the United Arab Emirates came up with a proposal to create a gambling and entertainment zone in Muynak, Uzbekistan. Now the question of the implementation of the casino is under discussion by the Prosecutor General’s Office.However, gambling activities are currently prohibited on the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Also, by decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, since 2007, the import of slot machines that offer games for money has been banned in the country. On January 16 of this year, the Cabinet of Ministers signed a document on the implementation of some projects in important areas for the Muynak region. The signed resolution implies the creation of a city that will host sports, entertainment facilities, hotels, as well as an airport. The main goal of adopting this document is to create all the necessary infrastructure that can turn this region into a center of investment and modern technologies. In turn, investors from the UAE offered to implement a gambling and entertainment zone in this area. Investors are also ready to build non-gaming facilities, which will bring the city of Muynak to a new level.
