The circular from the RFU, reminding about the ban on sports betting, was initiated and created in connection with several recent incidents of betting of football players of Russian football clubs. Team management responded positively and promptly to the document. Recall that in May of the current 2021, proceedings began on the participation of four football players from Russian clubs in betting – they may be disqualified due to bets. It is also known that in June three Russian football players were already disqualified for betting at bookmakers.
