The tax authorities of the Russian Federation introduce new forms of control over the activities of lotteries

As you know, on July 1 this year, a new law came into force, containing modified forms of control over the activities of lotteries and their distributors. Now the tax authorities of the Russian Federation will use various forms of control and prevention of the work of operators.

The document indicates two main areas or, more precisely, the format of control and interaction with lottery operators – preventive, including administrative consultations, warnings and visits of inspectors, as well as control – which will include unscheduled inspections of organizations. The method chosen by the Federal Tax Service and the frequency of inspections will depend on the certain level of risks of the lottery – lotteries with moderate risks will be checked once every three years, and with an average level of risks – a little more often – once every three years. It should be noted that in mid-June of the current 2021, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a document clearly regulating the work of ERAI – the Unified Gambling Regulator in Russia.
