Ukrainian authorities approved a bill to reduce the tax rate on gambling

As it became known, the Ukrainian authorities plan to reduce the tax on gambling from the established eighteen percent to ten. The fact that the rate can be reduced by almost half was reported by the People’s Deputy Andrei Nikolaenko in one of the social networks. The proposed draft law, in addition to the issue of reducing the tax fee for gambling operators, contains an initiative to abolish the existing tax on winnings if the amount of monetary reward does not cross the mark of forty-eight thousand hryvnias – this is eight minimum wages in Ukraine. Also touched upon is such an important issue for representatives of the gambling business on the triple payment of permits (gambling licenses), provided for online gambling, betting companies and slot machines. Previously, My Lucky Story informed its readers that in early June, the Ukrainian authorities did not adopt a bill on taxes for gambling and returned it for revision. Meanwhile, from mid-June of the current 2021, a register of players began to operate in Ukraine, for whom the path to gambling establishments was closed. Also on the topic – Anton Kuchukhidze – the current head of the UGC – All-Ukrainian Gambling Council called the main problem for the work and development of the gambling business in Ukraine.
