The hotel operator Vinpearl Co came up with a proposal to the Vietnamese authorities to build a new casino on the island of Hon Che. The company plans to invest more than $2.2 billion in the gambling and entertainment complex. The first phase includes the construction of a casino with 200 gaming tables and the installation of 2,000 slot machines. The second stage is the construction of a hotel with 1200 rooms and the construction of a conference hall. Commissioning of the complex is scheduled for the end of 2025. Earlier, the operators of two casinos appealed to the government of the country to allow visiting gambling establishments by local residents.
